A drawn clock face rather than digits, with dial style, second hand and an optional date underneath. It reads faster at an angle and from across a room than a digital readout does, which is why control rooms and studios still hang them. Thirteen fields cover the timezone and the styling, so a screen in one office can show the time in another. Useful as one item in a rotation on a screen that is mostly doing something else — a clock is what a display should show when it has nothing more urgent.
