A countdown that does the arithmetic itself. Set a target date, a time and a timezone, and the screen counts down without anyone touching it again — which matters, because a countdown someone has to update by hand is a countdown that will be wrong on the day it counts most. The mode field switches between counting down to the moment and counting up since it, so the same screen covers "opens in" and "day 41 without an incident". Good on a single screen behind a desk, or across a row of them for a launch.
