A number caller: the number being served, which window or desk to go to, and the next few numbers so people know roughly how long they have. Twelve fields. The value is not the number itself but the next-up list, which is what lets someone sit down instead of hovering at the counter. Pair it with Wait Time Display on the same screen rotation if you also want to publish an expected wait. Keep the numbers large and the next-up list short; three or four ahead is enough to be reassuring, and a longer list just tells people how long they are going to be waiting.
