Runs as shipped; your own API key is optional. The preview above is real data, fetched live without any credential. Adding your own key — GitHub token — OPTIONAL. Public repos need none; add a fine-grained READ-ONLY token for private repos or a higher rate limit — lets the board read private data and raises the rate limit the service applies to your screens.
Any key you add is stored with the template in your Sheencast account and is sent only from your own screens to that service.

The same GitHub board set as a Swiss data sheet: counts as large numerals across the top, open pull requests ruled beneath. No key required for public repositories — the preview on this page is genuinely live — with an optional read-only token for private repos. Pick this over the Terminal version for a mixed audience: it reads as a project status board rather than an engineering in-joke, which matters when the screen faces a lobby.
