Sheencast vs Yodeck
Yodeck publishes $8 per screen per month on the Basic plan, billed annually. We charge a flat monthly price per plan. Here is what that means at a few screen counts.
Monthly cost by screen count
| Screens | Sheencast | Yodeck | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | Free | $24 | $24 less |
| 5 | $29 | $40 | $11 less |
| 10 | $29 | $80 | $51 less |
| 25 | $29 | $200 | $171 less |
| 50 | $99 | $400 | $301 less |
Yodeck figures use their cheapest published paid tier ($8 per screen per month on the Basic plan, billed annually), taken from their pricing page and checked on 11 August 2026. Sheencast figures are 3 screens free, then $29/mo to 25 screens, then $99/mo unlimited. Both exclude tax and any hardware.
Their free tier: One screen, free forever.
What Yodeck does better
- A much larger template library — Yodeck advertises 800+ against our 61.
- A free player device with annual Basic subscriptions, which is real money if you are buying hardware anyway.
- A longer track record and a broader app catalog.
- A free tier that never expires, like ours, though it covers one screen rather than three.
What we do better
- Pricing does not scale with screens. Past about four displays the flat plan is cheaper, and the gap widens with every screen you add.
- No app to install and no player to buy — a screen is a browser opening a URL.
- Three screens free rather than one, with no branding on your content.
The honest summary
If you run a handful of screens and care most about monthly cost, the flat plan wins and the gap grows with every screen. If you need the breadth of Yodeck's app catalog, their template library, or bundled player hardware, those are real things we do not have, and no amount of price difference substitutes for a feature you need.
