Wait Time Display template

Clinics, urgent care centers, service desks, restaurants

A live render, produced by the same engine your screens run — not a screenshot.

A published wait, with the venue, the desk or department, a clock and the current figure. Eighteen fields. Publishing a wait is one of the few things that reliably lowers complaints even when the wait itself does not change, because the grievance is usually the uncertainty rather than the twenty minutes. Update it from a phone as the line moves; pair with Now Serving where there are ticket numbers to call. Round the figure up rather than down. A twenty-minute wait quoted as fifteen creates a complaint at minute sixteen; quoted as twenty-five it creates a small piece of goodwill at minute twenty.
