Gym and studio screens

Gym and studio screens

The screen most gyms actually need is the one by the door showing what is on today, and the thing it replaces is a laminated sheet that is one cover instructor out of date.

The schedule is the whole thing

A class schedule with time, class, instructor and room covers most of what a member walks in wanting to know. The reason to move it off paper is not that paper looks bad — it is that a cover instructor or a room change becomes a field edit from a phone at 6am rather than a reprint nobody is going to do.

Because the room is a column, the same board doubles as wayfinding in a building with more than one studio.

What else earns a slot

A countdown to the next class start, on a second screen or in the same rotation, does more for punctuality than a sign asking people to be on time. A leaderboard works if you publish the period alongside it and show enough places that most of the room appears somewhere — a top three that never changes stops motivating anyone by the second week.

Getting a screen up

A TV with a browser and a eight-digit code. Turn off the sleep timer and the no-signal auto power-off, and if the screen is somewhere humid or hot, treat it like any other equipment in that room and check what it is rated for.

What three free screens covers

The free plan runs 3 screens with no time limit and no card. For a lot of the sites on this page that is the whole installation. Past that, $29 a month covers 25 screens — flat, not per screen — so the fourth display costs the same as the twenty-fifth. Full detail on the pricing page.

One honest limitation

Be aware of what is not here: there is one fitness-specific template in the set, and the rest of this page is general-purpose templates applied well. If you want class booking, membership data or heart-rate displays on the screen, that is a different category of product and this is not it.
